This crowdfunding solution helps you fundraise for your preferred nonprofits while promoting your social impact, all with your branding and messaging front and center. Public Causes makes it simple for your vendors, customers, employees, and other community members to support your preferred causes in just a few clicks - elevating your brand and providing visibility of your organization’s support.

How it works

  1. Create a white-label crowdfunding campaign in Ren’s Public Cause platform to maximize engagement.

  2. Share your Public Cause page with vendors, customers, employees, and anyone else via email, social media, etc.

  3. Individuals can donate with their credit card.

  4. Donors immediately receive their tax receipts.

  5. Track and promote impact! Ren handles all the administrative overhead.


  • Use a compelling photo

  • Share a story, write something your network would relate to. A real-life scenario you feel they can connect with. People give because they care about you and want to make a positive impact. The more specific the more inspired people will feel.

  • Share the campaign via:

    • Websites

    • Newsletters

    • Slack Company Channels

    • Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)

    • Text or Email

    • Ask more than once

Please note in advance, the following list is of required fields. To publish a Public Cause, the following fields must be completed:

Main Heading:

  • Main Heading – 65 characters, this will appear at the very top of the page as the main title

  • Sub Heading – 60 characters, this will appear right beneath the main title in small font

Hero Image

  • Hero Image – Must upload a PNG, this image will be the main focus

  • Hero Image Caption – 120 characters

Fundraising Goal

  • Receiving Charity – lookup by name or EIN

  • Goal Amount

  • Start Date

  • End Date

Organization Information

  • Organization Name – Your organization

  • Contact Email

  • Organization Logo – Must upload a PNG

Footer Information

  • Organization Name

Cause Tracking

  • Cohort – Name for grouping charities together

Step by Step Instructions: Fields that are required have been highlighted with a red box

To begin, the Main Heading is most important. This title will appear front and center at the top of the page.

The subheading appears right beneath the title. This is where you want to give a quick vision statement of the campaign.

For the Hero Image, be sure to choose a photo that represents the mission and is appealing to all audiences.

The Receiving Charity must be in good standing with the IRS. You can look up the 501c3 org by name or EIN.

There are no limitations with the Start or End date.

Within the Cause Description, it is suggested to highlight details about the mission of the organization you are fundraising for and break down the costs that make up your fundraising goal. There is no character limit, and editing tools make it easy to bold, enlarge or italicize text.

Enter your organization's name, and the contact information for who is supporting this campaign.

When adding an External Link, be sure to select ‘Add’ then you should see the URL appear. Feel free to add as many URLs as necessary.

Once the website is added it will appear in the box beneath. This address can be removed at any time.

Add your organization's logo. Upload the image as a PNG.

The Cohort makes it easy for your team to see what type of campaign this is for future reference.

Choose if you want the cause to be visible to the public or not. If you do, be sure to click on the icon to toggle it to ‘Yes.’ See the example below.

When ready, select ‘Create Public Cause’ to publish the campaign.

Finally, when reviewing your cause, you can click on 'Preview' to see what the cause looks like on a Mobile, Tablet, or Desktop device.

Just toggle between the different views to make sure everything looks good:

Once the cause is created, you will see it in the list with other campaigns. If you need to make any adjustments or are ready to capture the URL, click on ‘Manage’

At the top of the page, you will see the URL and the ability to ‘Copy’ to your clipboard to share.
